The Rackspace Performance Cloud Servers in Australia are designed with 100 percent data center-grade, RAID 10-protected solid-state disks (SSDs), Intel Xeon E5 processors, up to 120 Gigabytes of RAM, and 40 Gigabits per second of highly available network throughput to the host.

As the first to trial Performance Cloud Servers in Australia, technology company simPRO has been able to utilize Rackspace Hosting’s new cloud offering in the Australian market. simPRO is an Australian company delivering ERP and mobile solutions to 1,900 customers around the world.

“Using a combination of Rackspace high performance servers with their incredibly fast network and the SSD block storage, we were able to quickly deploy highly scalable database and web clusters which we were previously unable with bare metal configurations,” said Jonathan Eastgate, CTO at simPRO. “The performance of this infrastructure and its availability through Rackspace’s global data center network has also enabled us to geographically spread network and data access points globally.”
