Media Temple Brings Latest Version of Parallels Plesk Panel To Its VPS Hosting Customers

Media Temple, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in web hosting and cloud hosting services for web developers and designers, has added Parallels Plesk 12 panel to its VPS Hosting control panel offering.

Leveraging its long-time partnership with Parallels, Media Temple brings Plesk 12 to its VPS hosting customers only a month after its official launch at HostingCon 2014. Among the suite of features that will allow Media Temple’s customers to more easily and securely manage their business online are:

  • A new level of enhanced server-to-site security with third party applications Fail2Ban and web application firewall ModSecurity, in addition to significantly increased email protection from outgoing spam and email interception.
  • A deep WordPress integration with a new WordPress Toolkit that makes it easier to manage and secure WP sites.
  • A simplified, more user-friendly site management, which includes a mobile-friendly interface as well as customer and individual reseller accounts restoration.

vps-hosting“Media Temple’s philosophy is to constantly improve our products and stay current with the latest versions and technology available,” said Brian Kuhn, VP of Product at Media Temple. “Our customers should expect no less than a premium user experience. To sharpen our control panel offering with the most current version of Parallels Plesk was the next logical step after recently adding cPanel to our VPS product.”

In order to take full advantage of Plesk 12’s numerous benefits, Media Temple recommends that all VPS Hosting customers currently on Plesk 10 and Plesk 11.5 upgrade their virtual private servers to Plesk 12 by year-end (at no extra cost).
